Totally agree with you about Target - i have a total love/hate relationship with that store. I always buy far more than I intended and so much of it is tat. Last year they sold Orla Keily kitchen accessories tho, which was wonderful. I dithered over a couple of items and by the time I went back to get them 2 weeks later the whole line had sold out, never to return.

Now there is going to be Liberty, eh? Good to know (well, not good for my wallet, possibly). It really is just as well they don't sell Waitrose or M&S products there tho...I dread to think what I would end up spending!

I'll never forget the day I walked into the Boots aisle in my local Target. I think there were angels singing in the background! Liberty at Target is one thing, but M&S Target?? Oh, oh, oh. Perhaps we could get a petition together?

I love target, I love to just wander through its bright clean aisles of lovely stuff. Now that they are going to have Libertys things I may have to go and live in my local target store!

It was a great treat for us to go to the LOndon store, my Mum is a great seamstress and made me lots of lovely liberty print dresses!

Sunshine for me at mine, not that you need it! (sorry if you got it already) http://geekymummy.blogspot.com/2010/02/sunshine-award.html

Target is in my top 3 of things I miss most of all. I think if they would only just bring it to England I would be happy to live here forever. Maybe with all these UK brands filtering in they have a master plan... but I suspect my love of Target has to do with growing up with it, I know where everything is. And their upmarket brands that normally can only be found at department stores (Calphalon, Kitchenaid, etc.) are really worth a trip.

Hey, maybe Ocado will deliver to the US in due course? That would solve the Waitrose issue at least!

I agree with you re spending money in Target. It's hard not to. Something to do with the size of the place. Even if you only went in for a couple of items, it's just too big not to see other stuff you need.

@nvg Yes, Boots really does seem quite luxurious in Target and I didn't buy it as much in the UK.

@Jen I'm sure a Waitrose ciabatta would be OK after a few days at sea!
